Arnaut Danjuma: “Not bad, but I can still do better”
A fiery debut for newcomer Arnaut Danjuma. The Dutchman was at the basis of the opner, teeing up Hans Vanaken nicely from the left.
“My first official game in Club jersey was not bad at all", the left winger started out. "But I know I can still do better than what I've shown today. Last season's performances sparked quite some interest, but when I was told the Belgian Champions were among those interested, the choice was easy. I reckon Bruges is the perfect step forward for me. I'm joining a bunch of compatriots here, and they all said that Club is not only a good group, but also a talented one. I know my job is to fill in where Limbombe left. Not an easy mission for sure, but I'll do my best to bequeath that task. The Supercup is not the big prize we want, but it' s great to win that very first official game of the new season. Offering an assist is nice, but I reckon we can still do better, and quicker in certain situations. I hope we can beat Eupen here on Sunday, which would set us up nicely in the race for a new title.” (FDC)
