Victories for Galatasaray, Real Madrid and PSG

Club's European opponents look more than ready for the Champions League. All three - Galatasaray, Real Madrid and PSG - managed to keep the three points home with the smallest of margins.

Galatasaray celebrated an important 1-0 win against city rivals Kasimpasa. Just before the half-time whistle Radamel Falcao opened his account for his new club with a deflected shot. The visitors tried to get an equalizer in the second half, but the hosts also had a number of chances to increase their lead. Former Club Brugge player Ryan Donk was subbed on to replace match winner Falcao and helped to keep the three points home. Club's opponent in the Champions League are now fifth in the Turkish Süper Lig with 7 points out of four games. (VM)

Real Madrid

Real Madrid celebrated a narrow 3-2 win against Levante, despite being 3-0 up at half-time after a Benzema brace and a goal by Casemiro. The visitors clawed their way back into the game at the start of the second half when Mayoral - on loan from Madrid - fired home. With just under half an hour left on the clock, Eden Hazard made his official debut for Los Blancos and the Belgian immediately showed his class. Nevertheless it was Levante that halved the deficit and made the game intense again. And the visitors were almost rewarded for their fighting spirit, but Thibaut Courtois kept the 3-2 score on the board with a top-drawer save in stoppage time. Thanks to this victory Zinedine Zidane's side are now second in the league. (VM)

PSG

It was a stoppage time goal by Neymar, who made his comeback after months of speculation whether the Brazilian would leave the club, that kept the three points home at Parc des Princes against Strasbourg. Apart from Neymar, Navas, Herrera and Icardi made their official debut for PSG.

In a scrappy first half with few chances, the hosts only had one shot on target. The French champion did better in the second half, but Matz Sels was excellent in goal. The game looked to end in a goalless draw, when Neymar broke the deadlock into stoppage time with a sweet volley. Thanks to this victory PSG are top of League 1 again. Former Club Brugge player Thomas Meunier was on the bench for ninety minutes. (VM)
