Maxim De Cuyper is a youth product of Club Brugge and joined the first team in 2023-2024. The defender was loaned out to KVC Westerlo last season and emerged as a key player there.

The agile left-footed defender managed to score nine goals and provide seven assists for the Kemphanen. His impressive performances did not go unnoticed, earning him a renewed contract with Club Brugge until 2026.
He also secured a starting position with the Belgium U21 national team and is competing in the European Championship in Georgia and Romania.
