Ronny Deila will no longer be Club Brugge's head coach.
Deila (48) had been at Club since the start of the season. A series of underwhelming results and a disappointing level of play make way for the decision to part ways with head coach Ronny Deila and assistants Efrain Juarez and Kristof Aelbrecht. In the past couple of weeks, Club had trouble seeing the true DNA of Club Brugge reflected in the games, and the sports management is fully convinced better results should be possible with the current selection.
Club Brugge will be scouting for a new head coach in view of the next season. In the meantime, the head coach position will be filled by Nicky Hayen, current Club NXT head coach. He will be backed by Michiel Jonckheere (head coach U18) and the remaining current staff members of Club's seniors.
