Andreas Skov Olsen: “Thrilled with and proud of this comeback”

UEFA Conference League

The vital equaliser came through Andreas Skov Olsen, helping Club Brugge to the UEFA Conference League group stages. The Dane brimmed with pride as he saw his team draw level.

“It's fantastic. We found a sturdy opponent in Osasuna, but we managed to go through. It means so much for us as players, to be ready for games like this for the team, the club, and the fans. It's a good thing we get to play so many games. I'm so happy and so proud we managed to come back in such a difficult game. Despite the goals we conceded, we just had to keep going and keep playing our game. They grew tired and just couldn't follow our pace any longer. The fans really fired us on after that second goal. I'm happy I'm able to help out the team with my goals, as today's goal was very important."

Club now aims its arrows at a good group stage result. “We can now await the draw and try to push through. We will take it one game at a time, but our goal is to make it through the winter. It's not the big names we will be playing, but it can be fun games no matter what. We are looking forward to it, despite the fact that it's no Champions League.“ (KN)
