Bob Madou will become the new CEO of Club Brugge. Madou succeeds Vincent Mannaert who, earlier this month, decided to step down from his position at the end of the season.
Madou (42) was born and raised in Bruges. After completing his university studies at the KU Leuven he worked for the British Tennis Federation, as Communications Director and Chief Business Officer of the Belgian Football Federation and as a brand strategist at VRT, among others. Since February 2018, Madou has been working as Chief Business Officer at Club. In that position, he was part of the executive committee along with Mannaert and CFO Nicky Laukens. Madou will now take on the position of CEO.
In his new position, Bob will lead an executive committee of three. Current CFO Nicky Laukens sees his duties expanded to include Club's entire operations cell, including the management of Basecamp, The Nest and the Jan Breydel Stadium. In addition to CFO Nicky Laukens, Club is also looking for a new Chief Sports Officer.
Bob Madou: 'I would like to thank Bart, Vincent and the entire board of directors for their trust. The past few years I had the opportunity to help shape Club Brugge alongside Vincent. His shoes are big to fill but I feel confident thanks to the strong team I have behind me and Vincent's support. First thing on the agenda is to find the right Chief Sports Officer. I'm very much looking forward to his new adventure.'
