The second but last friendly of this pre-season ended in a 0-0 draw between Club and Dender.

With the sun beaming down, the game between Club and Dender went underway at 11 am. Ten minutes had passed before Vermant fired at goal, but his effort sailed wide. Dender responded with a shot from outside the box, but that flew over Jackers' goal.
In this game there were quite a lot of Club NXT academy players between the lines. One of them, Wylin, tried his luck, but his shot went wide as well.
In a game with a lot of midfield play and duels it was hard for both sides to carve out good chances which resulted in a goalless half-time score.

Club started the second half with almost an entire new team, but the face of the game remained the same: two teams trying to create a few chances, but failing to do so. On the hour-mark Da Silva rushed towards goal from the left, but his shot was palmed away. The resulting corner kick was headed over by Furo.
With the match drawing to an end, Dender created a few half-chances when Club failed to clear the ball inside the area and Jackers kept one out just before the full-time whistle.
And so the game ended as it hard started. The boys will now be looking forward to tonight's friendly against Norwich at The NEST and Saturday's first real game of the season: the Supercup against Union.
