Club NXT awarded best youth training program

Club NXT, Club Brugge's youth academy, is at the very top of the Pro League's youth license ranking. Our youth operation received a total of 464.63 points based on three important pillars: infrastructure, staff and staffing, promotion and contracts. This represents 96% of the maximum score. Two years ago, our youth operation was still in 2nd place with a large gap, but after a great deal of catching up, we can now officially consider ourselves the best youth operation in Belgium.

Club NXT is an excellent example of how a youth academy with the right focus and dedication can have a significant impact on the development of young soccer players. We have therefore created an environment in recent years where young players can grow and develop into professional soccer players. That success of Club NXT is now being crowned.

Infrastructure

Despite the limited infrastructure at Jan Breydel, Club NXT has found creative solutions to overcome these challenges. With the integration of U18 and U23 at the Belfius Basecamp in Knokke and the investments for U15 and U16 at The NEST in Roeselare, our boys have the infrastructure needed for optimal development.

Staff and staff

A second major component of the youth license bets on the sports technical diplomas and licenses of our youth coaches. Here we as an Academy score very well considering a lot of coaches have their UEFA A & Pro License. In addition, NXT also invests in the sporting and extra sporting supervision of the youth players, as well as rewarding enough youth players from U15 who develop fantastically with a first contract.

Advancement & Contracts

Club NXT, with its U23 squad in 1B, has the excellent approach for youngsters towards professional soccer. This season alone, 4 youngsters took their first steps into professional soccer in the Challenger Pro League. In addition, the flow of young talents to the A-team has also grown incredibly. With Brandon Mechele, Maxim De Cuyper, Jorne Spileers, Kyriani Sabbe, Chemsdine Talbi & Joaquin Seys, 6 purebred youth players got to celebrate the 19th national title last Sunday. Other top talents like Antonio Nusa, Bi Abdoul Kader Yameogo & Joël Ordonez also took their first steps through Club NXT to Club 1. Finally, through all these efforts we also get additional youth players in top European competitions, of which Charles De Ketelaere, Loïs Openda, Arne Engels and Ignace Van der Brempt are fine examples.
