No fewer than 5,000 fans travelled to The NEST in Roeselare on Saturday afternoon for Blauw-Zwart's first friendly against Zulte Waregem. Coach Ronny Deila used a lot of players in this evenly matched game. The end result: 0-1.
After a lacklustre first half with only a few half-chances, the better chances came after the break. Thiago thought he had opened the scoring with a smooth lob, but he was flagged in an off-side position. A few minutes later Demuynck was sent through on goal, leaving goalkeeper Shinton chanceless.
Next week Club will be hosting the game vs Beerschot at the Basecamp, in a game played behind closed doors.
