Everything you need to know about Club YLA's Cup Final

Next Wednesday, May 1, is when our ladies will compete for the cup against OHL Women. Everything you need to know, from the cup course to practical info, can be found below!

THE CUP CIRCUIT

You may already know it, but our ladies already took on a lot of competitors in their way to the final. It all started with a game against Standard Fémina, the cup winner last season. Through goals by Boutiebi and Stenberg, Club YLA cleverly managed to qualify for the next round, a first difficult hurdle was taken immediately.

In the eighth final, KFC Alken had to face them. In a demonstration it became 9-0. With a boost of confidence, the ladies faced KRC Genk Ladies in the quarterfinals in what would become a real cup thriller. Only after penalties (5-3) could Blauw-Zwart qualify for the semi-finals.

And there again a top team was waiting with KAA Gent Ladies. In an atmospheric Sportpark in Aalter, the tension was palpable for 120 minutes. Only in the extensions could Club YLA open the score after an equal game. Cup heroine Rania Boutiebi kicked her team to the final!

The cup trail briefly listed:

  • 14/10/2023: Club YLA 2 - 1 Standard Fémina
  • 11/11/2023: Club YLA 9 - 0 KFC Alken

PEPSI FANDORP

A cup final of course requires a fan village. You can find it in the parking lot next to the main grandstand. At 2:30 p.m., an hour and a half before kick-off, the fan village will open for the fans travelling with us. DJ Vanathic, our stadium DJ at Jan Breydel, will provide the right beats.

And it doesn't stop there. Martijn Debbaut is present and will challenge you to a game of panna soccer, there is a photo wall and shooting wall and you can get your own Club YLA tattoo. Of course the little bears from Bruges can't be missing either! On the supporters square there will also be food and drink stands and a mobile fanshop.
