We learned of the passing of former player and former youth product Louis Debackere at the age of 87.
The midfielder played eight seasons ((1957-1959) for blue-black in the first team. Debackere celebrated promotion from second to first division with Club in 1959. Since then, Blauw-Zwart has played continuously at the highest level in our country.
Louis counts 167 matches behind his name and scored 7 goals. For decades he ran a furniture store in Assebroek, a borough of Bruges.
