Club Brugge did not manage to take the three points home. The match at KV Mechelen ended on a draw. Central defender Jorne Spileers was disappointed after the match.
"It was that type of match that could have gone either way, against a rather solid KV Mechelen," started the central defender his analysis. "We didn't play a bad game but in the end we probably didn't bring enough. We were too slow to really outplay our opponent". When being asked whether Club should have won this match, Spileers was clear: "Maybe so, especially because two goals were disallowed. I haven't seen the video myself yet but apparently Thiago's goal was valid and therefore unfairly disallowed. Moreover, we were also a bit unlucky with Nusa's shot against the pole. That we kept our sheet clean again? That is a detail because ultimately we came here to take the three points home. That we now have to go home with only one point is rather sour." (MV)
