The calendar has been announced, time to look ahead to next season. On Monday, July 8, the (young) lions will be let loose again. Club NXT U23 begins its preparation on July 8 with the classic medical tests and is back on the field a day later. Find out all the details leading up to the start of the Challenger Pro League below.
Just under a month of patience... Monday, July 8 will mark the start of the 2024 - 2025 season. About two weeks after the A nucleus, our young guard starts the preparation for a new season in the Challenger Pro League. The goal: continue to develop youngsters and become the best promising team for the third year in a row.
On day 1 the medical tests are scheduled and a day later Robin Veldman leads his first training of the season. At the end of the first training week a practice match is planned in and against the Sporting Hasselt of Club-fanatico Rik Verheye. This will be followed by a normal training week and two matches are scheduled against Oostkamp and Zelzate. The match against Oostkamp will take place at the youth grounds next to the Jan Breydel Stadium on Friday, July 19.
After that, Club NXT U23 together with the U18 will head to Venray for the annual summer training camp, where training sessions will alternate with team building activities and relaxation in Dutch Limburg. On the last day, Friday, July 26, the U23 will play a practice match against PSV in Eindhoven. In the last straight before the start of the competition, Club NXT U23 will cross swords with KSV Oudenaarde and play two more top matches at The NEST. On Friday, August 2, they take on AS Monaco. A week later, on Saturday, August 10, they face West Ham United. Two solid warm-ups before the start of the league on Aug. 17. Opponent on game day 1 is promoted KSC Sporting-Lokeren at The NEST.
