Club soldiers on after a broad win against Zulte Waregem. A satisfied Club coach addressed the press.
"First and foremost, I'm thrilled with that 4-0 win. We had a fine start, and managed to top that off with an early opener. After that, we remained disciplined and kept working hard. Our pressing, and our counter attacks were well executed today. After that early opener, we managed to finish the game in a professional way. We can add another victory to our belts, which pleases me. It's now a matter of keeping up the hard work, and of maintaining that momentum."
Another two goals for Thiago tonight. "I'm really happy with Igor (Thiago) at this moment. Signing new players, you often get the same pattern: they start out well, but then fall back. It looks like that's behind him now, as he's been playing really well of late. Thiago brings something to the team we didn't have before. He's capable of sticking to a ball, and he's strong inside the box. Apart from that, he's also a top bloke, both on the pitch and in the dressing room. He was also criticized, but that will always be part of the game. Playing for a top outfit, he should be capable of handling that, and I'm happy with his reactions on the pitch. When the team is having a fine run, his individual qualities also shine more. It all starts from the team, and I'm very optimistic as to our performances in these past couple of games", a content Ronny Deila concluded. (TM)
