Just nineteen days after our last league game, it's already here: the start of the new season!
As per annual habit, we start the preparation with the medical and physical tests. Today and tomorrow the players are expected in different groups at the hospital and Basecamp to give the best of themselves.
A total of 31 players, individuals or groups, will start the preparation at Blauw-Zwart. Ten internationals, who are still in action or could just start their vacation, will join later.
These first team players will start their preparation in the coming days: Simon Mignolet, Joe Bursik, Nick Shinton, Clinton Mata, Brandon Mechele, Jorne Spileers, Abakar Sylla, Dedryck Boyata, Joel Ordóñez, Bjorn Meijer, Kyriani Sabbe, Casper Nielsen, Raphael Onyedika, Mats Rits, Lynnt Audoor, Cisse Sandra, Shion Homma, Kamal Sowah, Chemsdine Talbi, Ferran Jutglà, Igor Thiago, Romeo Vermant & Roman Yaremchuk.
Some players from Club NXT are also joining during the preparation: Joaquin Seys, Jano Willems, Tobias Lund Jensen, Mohamed Salah, Kiany Vroman, Sem Audoor, Denzel De Roeve & Sasha Yakymenko.
Víctor Barberá, Tajon Buchanan, Maxim De Cuyper, Jack Hendry, Noa Lang, Antonio Nusa, Denis Odoi, Andreas Skov Olsen, Michał Skóraś & Hans Vanaken join later. Some are still in action due to international obligations, others have now started their vacations.
Next Monday there will be the first field training under the direction of new coach Ronny Deila. On Saturday, July 1, there is already the first friendly match against Zulte Waregem at The NEST.
