Think Pink is the new sleeve partner of Club YLA. The Bruges women's team will proudly wear the Think Pink logo on their sleeves, as well as supporting a broader collaboration with the non-profit organization.
The familiar pink ribbon symbolizing greater breast cancer awareness will adorn the sleeve of Club YLA this season. The Club family, and Club YLA in particular, has a soft spot for Think Pink; everyone knows someone affected by (breast) cancer. The VZW Think Pink, with roots in Bruges, wants to reach a young, female target group with this collaboration. Preventive screening is crucial for young women in order to detect breast cancer quickly.
CEO Guilian Preud'homme: "Promoting a healthy, active lifestyle is a shared DNA of Club YLA and Think Pink. We are happy to do our part in breast cancer awareness with this partnership and look forward to a successful collaboration."
Heidi Vansevenant, president and founder NPO Think Pink: "We are very proud that Club YLA and Think Pink are joining forces in the fight against breast cancer. During the coming season, Club YLA is launching several actions to ask for more breast awareness. Every year in Belgium, 1 in 8 women or more than 11,300 people are diagnosed with breast cancer. Regular exercise is one of the most effective ways to reduce the risk of breast cancer and promotes recovery from breast cancer. This is why exercise is in the DNA of Think Pink. We don't have to be top athletes, but we can advise everyone to keep moving. Getting breast cancer out of the world remains our dream. That's why Club YLA and Think Pink are now joining forces, immediately sending a strong signal in the sports world."
In addition to the visibility component, the players will also be closely involved in this collaboration. There will be an information session by Think Pink to very purposefully start raising awareness among our players.
The kick-off of this collaboration will be given on August 31 during Club YLA's home game against OHL. A match that will be entirely devoted to Think Pink.
