Rik de Mil is the current assistant-coach of Club Brugge. He began his coaching career in 2012 at KSV Oostkamp, where he got the team promoted twice in three years.

In 2015, De Mil became coach of the U19 at Club Brugge. After the departure of Sven Vermant as trainer at NXT U23, De Mil took over. In the 2020/2021 season, Club NXT U23 played in First Division B. Due to the youngsters' strong performance, a lot of youth talents advanced to the first team.

At the start of the 2022-2023 season, De Mil becomes assistant coach to Carl Hoefkens and later Scott Parker. In mid-March 2023, Rik De Mil becomes the new head coach of Club Brugge. He also qualifies for the Champions' Play-Offs. In the season 2023-2024, he resumed his position as assistant.
